Playful & kind
I kept kindness, curiosity and friendship at the centre.

A little curiosity.
A whole ocean of possibility.
I wanted to tell a small adventure with a big heart.
Meet Chopo, a kind giant of the deep. In “The Lost Pearl,” he joins Coral the seahorse and Sparkle the jellyfish to find the Pearl of Atlantis.
I built the adventure around riddles, discoveries and a friendship that matters more than the treasure.
I paired playful words with a world young readers can wander into.
I kept the direction warm and playful, with rhyme and a simple quest made for reading together.
I leaned into luminous blues, soft textures and expressive faces. Big shipwrecks and tiny friends give the ocean its sense of scale.
I kept kindness, curiosity and friendship at the centre.
I used warm accents and glowing details to bring light into the deep.
I left quiet space around the characters so the world could breathe.

I revisited the characters and scenes with loose pencil studies: simple shapes, searching lines and a little imagination.
I created these AI-assisted studies after the finished artwork. They’re retrospective explorations, not original early sketches.
